Ecojot wins Design Exchange Award!

Ecojot won Bronze at the 2010 Canadian Design Exchange Award. The category was Visual Communications Brand & Identity. Please note, our program is "BUY ONE, WE GIVE ONE!"
Thanks to all the judges at the DX for giving us our first award and wonderful recognition of our designs and our philanthropy work.

Ecojot donated 40 Journals to this great cause. Here is a letter from Juliana as well as her own artwork in an Ecojot Jumbo journal...

"We will be visiting the women's correctional facility November 20th where we will hold a workshop for forty women. The foundation WWish was founded by my friend Laura and helps women build their self esteem and learn how to love themselves again so they can begin healing from their earlier trauma and obstacles that have taken them down some hard roads.  Your journals will be part of their healing process. We will teach them about writing to relieve stress but also about drawing and letting their emotions spread across the page to help heal sorrow and anger."

These are the lovely, happy children from Okurase Village in Ghana, holding their Ecojot notebooks!
The kids loved the notebooks. When walking the children back home two little boys asked me if they could take the notebooks to school. These two boys are fortunate enough to actually go to school but they have no notebooks or supplies of any kind. They were happy to know they could use them in any way they needed.
