Tulips

Vivid stripes of color make up these glorious scenes. This is the Northern Netherlands in the middle of Tulip Season. The dutch landscape in May is a kaleidescope of color as the Tulips burst into life. The bulbs are planted in late October and early November. Great inspiration for paintings, weavings. wallpaper, mosaics and quilting!

  2. Wow! I have never seen such vibrant images and had no idea this was going on in the Netherlands. The first image (minus the figures) looks like a rug! Definitely wonderful inspiration for all the things you say - or just to enjoy as it is, a spectacular gift from nature (with a little help from mankind).
